This year was a historic year for Sirona. At the beginning of the year, we presented innovations for our imaging systems, in the laser therapy, as well as CEREC updates and new technology developments for treatment centers at IDS 2015. In early September, we held the largest gathering of dental professionals ever in Las Vegas to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the CEREC CAD/CAM system. At the event, we introduced two new versions of CEREC Omnicam – CEREC AI and CEREC AF – and had the honor of ringing the NASDAQ closing bell on site.

And, notably, in September we announced our exciting merger with DENTSPLY International, creating the world’s largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies. The combined company, which will be called DENTSPLY SIRONA, will merge Sirona’s leading equipment and technology offerings with DENTSPLY’s leading consumables platform to create a comprehensive, integrated, end-to-end dental solutions offering in every key dental segment. I am honored to continue as CEO of the combined company and serve as member of the Board of Directors. I am looking forward to working with DENTSPLY’s Chairman and CEO Bret W. Wise, who will serve as Executive Chairman of the combined company. Together with our passionate team, we will continue to advance the global digitalization of dentistry.
